Fury v Wilder

Manchester’s very own, Tyson Fury has been winding up his next opponent at the press conference in London. Deontay Wilder will defend his WBC Heavyweight Belt in Los Angeles on December 1st which will prove a challenge for both fighters as neither has met defeat in their professional careers.

During the meeting between the pair, emotions ran high as Fury invited Wilder for a ‘body spar’ on stage. An entourage of peacemakers swarmed the stage and got between the two heavyweights before Wilder could give Fury ‘a little tickle’. This altercation was just a glimpse of the tension which was all be released at the beginning of December.

The challenger (Fury) has 27 wins, 19 by KO and 0 losses. The Champion, Wilder has had 40 professional fights, 40 wins and 39 of them from KO’s. Judging from the stats, this fight promises to be a thrilling heavyweight clash and one fighter will almost definitely lose the clean record of victories. Which brings us to the questions, who will win and who should you place your bets on?

As Wilder is the current Champ, bookies have marked him as the favourite. However, Fury surprised everyone upon his return to fight Klitschko and surpassed expectation when he won back the WBA, IBF & WBO belts from the Russian veteran. The ‘Gypsy King’ has always shown up on the big occasions and the fight v Wilder will be exactly that. Fury’s ego is probably his best quality as a fighter. He can’t even comprehend the thought of a loss and although his opponent is one of the best heavy-hitters in the sport, I can’t see anything past a Fury win by KO.

As if the stakes weren’t high enough, the eventual winner of the match will probably go onto fight World Champion Anthony Joshua. AJ swerved a fight with Fury already this year when he opted to fight Povetkin in September. Whatever the outcome between Fury & Wilder, one of them will get the chance to become an Undisputed Champion when they face AJ. The last time there was an Undisputed Champion was in 1999 when Lennox Lewis beat Holyfield on points. Click Here to bet now.
