There are just two days left before the start of the 2020/21 Premier League season and Paddy Power has some fantastic #WhatOddsPaddy markets available!
After starting a month later than usual, the Premier League finally returns this weekend with Fulham vs Arsenal getting us underway. Again, no fans are allowed in the ground, so all games will be broadcast live on TV.
When looking at who to back this season, it appears it’s going to be the same as the last two years and be between Man City and Liverpool. Pep’s side are the 8/11 favourites, with last years winners priced at 15/8 on Paddy Power.
This can make back a winner difficult and the odds aren’t the best unless you’re putting on a big stake. Thankfully though, that’s where the #WhatOddsPaddy markets come in to play. There are eight different markets, varying from low to high odds markets and then Player Goals and Player Assists.
We’ve gone through these markets and found just a handful of the ones we like. However, there are hundreds of different bets available that are worth looking at before Fulham take on Arsenal at 12:30 pm on Saturday.
#WhatOddsPaddy Premier League 20/21 Specials
#WhatOddsPaddy EPL 2020/21 – Featured
Kevin De Bruyne, Bruno Fernandes & Trent Alexander-Arnold to combine for 40 or more assists – 2/1. This is by no means one of the largest odds available, but we think it could be a banker. Last season the three of them combined to make 40 assists. This was with Bruno playing just 14 games. If you gave him an extra 24 games you would expect him to get a few more assists meaning that De Bruyne and Trent wouldn’t have to hit the heights of last season.
Liverpool to remain unbeaten at home – 5/1. The last time Liverpool were beaten at home in the Premier League was January 21st 2017, two and half seasons ago. At 5/1 it’s a great price as we can’t see anyone other than City or Chelsea really worrying them at Anfield.
Man City win the EPL, Man Utd top 4, Arsenal top 6, Leeds bottom half & West Brom relegated – 11/1. Like we said earlier, City are this year’s favourites and will have every chance of regaining the title. Man United looked like a top-four side again towards the end of the season and this will be the minimum expectation now at Old Trafford. Arsenal showed some real promising signs before the season ended and especially in the FA Cup. They have made some good signings that should get them back up the table. This is Leeds’ first season back in the Prem for over 15 years and the main aim for Bielsa will be survival so bottom half is a realistic aim. West Brom hasn’t done that much business and their squad isn’t the best. We see them in a relegation fight at least.
#WhatOddsPaddy EPL 2020/21 – Player Goals
Martial, Rashford & B Fernandes to combine for 50 or more goals – 23/10. Last season these three combined to score 42 goals in total. Rashford and Martial looked to really have improved and now are both certain of a starting place in the team. Rashford missed out of eight games of the season with Bruno 24. That is a total of 32 games for the two men to find eight or more goals from next season. Should they all stay fit this is definitely achievable.
K De Bruyne, B Fernandes & T Alexander-Arnold each to score 4 or more goals from outside the box – 11/2. Last season, De Bruyne scored five from outside the box with the other two men getting three. All three of them take freekicks for their side and like to shoot from distance. Taking this into account, at 11/2 this could be a good bet. It will make it that bit more interesting when watching these play and seeing them stand over a freekick, needing it to go in for your bet!
These are just two of the markets we’ve looked at, with there being Player Shots On Target and Goals/Assist/Shots on Target Combos also having interesting odds available. These won’t be there after the start of the season so
