Man City, Liverpool & Chelsea all Top 4 Finish, Wolves Top Half Finish & Aston Villa Bottom Half Finish – 7/5
Man City, Liverpool & Chelsea will all be expecting a Top 4 finish, and Wolves will be confident that with no European distractions. The only doubtful element here is with Aston Villa. They have buoyed by Jack Grealish confirming his new contract and with a vast array of new signings. So a top-half finish for the Villains might be not as fanciful as once thought.
Man Utd Top 4 Finish, Leeds Top Half Finish & Crystal Palace to be Relegated – 10/1
United’s great run after the Premier League restart last season saw them finish 3rd, despite having a poor start. With many of their rivals strengthening, they will certainly have a fight on their hands to finish in the top 4.
With Leeds, they looked awesome going forward in their opening match against Liverpool, but defensive errors cost them on the day as they lost 4-3. They will need to strengthen before the Transfer Window closes.
As for Crystal Palace, their fight against relegation will depend on whether they can keep hold of their best players. They have started this with a win but finished last season with one draw and seven defeats.
Bruno Fernandes to score 20 or more goals – 11/2
Fernandes was a superb addition to United’s squad in January, scoring 8 goals in 14 league appearances. The Portuguese Midfielder will be expected to double that at least so odds of 11/2 look very tempting.
Virgil van Dijk & Harry Maguire each to score 5 or more headers – 25/1
Virgil van Dijk managed to score 5 headers last season, so has proven he is capable. It will probably be the Man United Defender and Captain, Harry Maguire, that will need to improve his return at the other end of the pitch if this bet is to come in.
Sergio Aguero to score 30 or more goals – 35/1
There is growing speculation that this will be Aguero’s last season at The Etihad and he will be hoping to leave the club on a high. The Argentinian has never managed 30 Premier League goals in a season, but he remains integral to Guardiola and will have the opportunities to score over the next few months.
Kevin De Byrune to assist 22 or more goals – 40/1
Kevin De Bruyne provided an incredible 20 assists in the 2019/20 campaign. This bet certainly looks great value for money.
You can also get odds of 6/4 on the Belgian assisting 16 or more goals.
Man United to win the English Premier League & Anthony Martial to be top goal scorer – 80/1
An optimistic United fan’s dream bet. The Reds have not won the league since 2013 but proved at times last season that they can turn it on in the big games. They beat Man City home and away and were perhaps unlucky not to take 3 points against Liverpool at Old Trafford. They will need to become more consistent if they want to challenge for the Premier League title.
As for Anthony Martial, the French forward had his best season for United during 2019/2010. He scored 17 Premier League goals and will be looking to push on again
Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man Utd & Arsenal to score 450+ goals combined – 90/1
The total number of goals scored by these teams last season was 378 and with all the teams still expected to strengthen their attacking line ups, this is a bet worth looking at. Especially with those odds.
Eberechi Eze to score 10+ goals & to have 10+ assists – 225/1
Crystal Palace spent £17 million on Eze, following his great season at QPR which ended with him scoring one of the goals of the season in an away match against West Brom. It will be interesting to see how the Attacking Midfielder responds to the step up in quality. This is certainly worth a punt, especially if you are a Crystal Palace fan that watches him every week.
Chelsea to win the FA Cup, Everton to win the EFL Cup, Man Utd Top 4 in EPL & West Ham relegated – 500/1
There needs to be a lot to happen for this one to come off but with those odds, it looks like it could be worth a look. Frank Lampard will be desperate to win his first trophy as Chelsea manager and the FA Cup could prove to be one of their best chances. Everton’s new signings mean that they can seriously look at the EFL Cup as an opportunity to win their first major trophy since 1995.
Leeds to finish in the top 4 & Rodrigo Moreno to be top EPL goal scorer – 500/1
Does anyone remember Leeds United’s run to the Champions League Semi-Finals in 2001? That side is still spoken about with pride by Leeds fans. It was as good as it got for them, as they were relegated a few years later. If you think they will be having another crack at European glory next season, this is the bet for you.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang New Contract Specials
Aubameyang has signed a new three-year contract with Arsenal. The 31-year-old’s deal had been due to expire at the end of the current season, but he has now ended speculation by extending his stay with The Gunners.
To no longer be an Arsenal player at the start of the 2021/22 English Premier League – 5/2
The start of the transfer window was full of speculation that Aubameyang was going to leave. Despite the three-year contract, speculation about his departure might return if Arsenal fail to reach the Champions League.
Arsenal to finish in EPL top 4 & Aubameyang to be PFA player of the year in 2020/21 – 25/1
A more positive bet for Arsenal fans. Arsenal’s squad looks stronger than it did last season, and after a strong start, they will be confident of a top 4 finish and a return to the Champions League.
Arsenal to win the 2020/21 English Premier League & Aubameyang to be top scorer – 40/1
Could Arsenal pull a bit of a shock and go onto win their first title since the invincibles team of 2003/2004?
Donny van de Beek Man Utd Specials
Donny van de Beek recently joined Man United from Ajax and will be hoping to hit the ground running like his teammate and fellow midfielder Bruno Fernandes did last season. There are a few specials worth looking at here, 13/2 for the Dutchman to score 10 and have 10 assists looks decent value.
To score 10 goals & have 10 assists in 2020/21 Premier League – 13/2
He scored 8 League goals in 23 appearances for Ajax last season so certainly knows where the goal is. The big question is how he will handle the slight step up in quality from the Eredivisie.
To be sold or loaned from Man Utd to a Serie A club in 2021 – 14/1
Serie A has become a popular destination for players leaving the Premier League in recent seasons. Romelu Lukaku, Ashley Young and Alexis Sanchez all left United for Inter Milan, Chris Smalling also spent a season on loan at Roma.
To score 100 or more goals in competitive matches for Man Utd – 25/1
If the midfielder reaches this landmark, it will certainly mean that he has been a success at Old Trafford and would have represented excellent value for money. Those odds don’t look great value for money at the moment but is certainly one to keep an eye on.
What #WhatOddsPaddy markets have been rejected?
A number of requests have also been turned down by Paddy Power, Back in 2018, someone on Twitter asked “@AskPaddyPower England to win the World Cup and Oasis to reform in 2018? #WhatOddsPaddy.”
It is a good job that this market was not opened. England’s great run to the World Cup ended in the Semi Final against Croatia, and Oasis were nowhere near reforming with both Gallagher brothers choosing to further their solo careers.
Staying on an Oasis theme, another Twitter user asked: “@AskPaddyPower what odds paddy on Liam Gallagher being next prime minister.”
Back onto the football, with many expecting Leeds to perform above expectations, another Twitter user went against the grain and tweeted this: “@AskPaddyPower can you give me a price on Bielsa to be sacked before Christmas Day 2020 and Leeds to be relegated at the end of the 20/21 season. #WhatOddsPaddy”.
