Ryder Cup Betting Opportunities

The 42nd Ryder Cup is only a little over a week away and Team Europe will be aiming to claim back their title. Prior to the last tournament in 2016, it was the US who was trailing in recent years. Europe had three consecutive wins since 2010 but this was put to an end after a convincing victory from the US.

France will be the host for the Ryder Cup which could be the deciding factor as Team Europe are back on home soil. Bookmakers currently have Team USA as favourites, but we have a strong hunch that the Europeans will pull it out the bag. So, here are some tips that you mustn’t FORE-get!

The Golfer who racked up the most points the last outing was Thomas Pieters. The Belgian isn’t featuring in this years Cup, however, he is still taking shots at the American’s and claims ‘they can’t drink.’ A former teammate of Pieters, Justin Rose is on great form ahead of the competition and is even performing better than Rory McIlroy. Rose is a strong candidate for the top European Points Scorer and it will be close between him and Mcilroy but we think the Englishman just about tops it. It will be Justin Rose’s fourth participation in the Cup and the veteran is currently at 9/2 odds to finish as the highest European Points Scorer.

As previously stated, Team USA are favourites at 8/13, odds which are lower than the Europeans winning. This is an element that could lead betting customers to veer towards Team Europe.  If you fancy your chance at getting the best returns, Europe is 11/8 to win their seventh Ryder Cup title since 2002. The tournament will tee-off on the 22nd of September and it is a sporting event which is unmissable. Two contents go head to head with the highest calibre of golfing individuals they have to offer.
