Barcelona have brought in ex-player Ronald Koeman as their new manager and Paddy Power have specials available on the Dutchman’s time at the club!
After Barcelona’s 8-2 mauling by Bayern Munich in the Champions League on the weekend, they made the decision to sack Quique Setien. It was one of the worst defeats in the club’s history and the team needs major changes. They have decided to turn to former player Ronald Koeman to hopefully guide the club back to the top.
Koeman has managed eleven teams in his career including Southampton and Everton. On top of this, he was the assistant manager of Barcelona in 1998-2000. He was in charge of the Dutch national side and has left to join Barcelona on a two-year contract.
Paddy Power now has a host of specials to make his time at Barcelona’s even more interesting for punters!
Ronald Koeman Barcelona Specials
One or more Dutch senior internationals to sign for Barcelona in the next transfer window – 8/13
As a Dutchman himself and vast experience of the Eredivisie, Koeman is a fan of signing Dutch players. He has just joined Barca from the Dutch national team so will have been looking at Dutch players all the time. On top of this, when he was the manager of Southampton and Everton he brought in four players Holland, two at each club. Barca need to make signings and he will want to bring in someone he can trust. We can very much see a Dutch player holding a Barcelona top soon!
To no longer be Barcelona manager by the 25th of December 2020 – 5/2
Barca tends to sack their managers after a poor result or poor season. They will still be in the Champions League at this stage of the season and the La Liga campaign will be far from over. We think Koeman will still be in charge come Christmas day, however, Barca are ruthless and 5/2 is a good price!
To still be Barcelona manager at the start of the 2021/2022 La Liga season- 3/1
Personally, I like the look of this one. This is only one season and if Koeman is going to be in charge of bringing in players to rebuild the club, you would expect him to still be in charge next season. Barca will be desperate to win back the league from Real Madrid and can definitely do so. If Koeman can deliver this, surely that means he’ll still be in charge and they won’t go through changes again.
To manage Barcelona to win La Liga, Copa Del Rey & the Champions League in 2020/21 – 25/1
After Friday’s performance, you would say this is impossible, however with Messi in the side anything is possible. At 25/1 it is worth a little go just cause of potential returns. We expect Barca to spend big money this summer and if they can bring in the right players then who knows.
These are just four of the nine Paddy Power Specials available. They vary in odds from 8/13 to 100/1 and are well worth checking out.
