Salah top Scorer, Man City to win the league & Cardiff to finish bottom (20/1)

One week into the Premier League season and the division has already lived up to its thrilling reputation. City are top, United have flopped and Arsenal are looking their usual selfs with zero points from two games. All jokes aside, Betfair is offering a great opportunity for all new and existing members.  However, you will have to be patient with this one as it could potentially come in at the end of the season in May.

Mo Salah PL Top Scorer

Following Salah’s breakthrough season, it has confirmed him as a world-class player and he looks likely to carry it through to the new campaign. The Egyptian Captain has already kicked off his season with a goal verse Crystal Palace in Liverpool’s victorious visit to Selhurst Park. Last season he was a remarkable record breaker. In Salah’s prolific goalscoring season he racked up 32, scoring in 24 of Liverpool’s Premier League fixtures.

Liverpool’s maestro on the wing will be their key to success this season. Domestically and if Liverpool is fortunate enough to replicate their European efforts from last campaign, much thanks will be owed to Salah. Linking up with teammates, especially Firminho & Sane, this trio is ruthless, with Mo being the pinpoint of the attack.

City To Win The League

Two fixtures in and Manchester City are already asserting their dominance on the division. It looks hard to see past Guordiola’s side retaining their title. They finished lasts season at the top of the tree with 100 points. Having scored 106 goals as well, it has gone down as one of the most successful performances by a team in a PL season.

Nonetheless, City’s arguably best player has suffered a crucial blow to his season. Kevin De Bruyne has damaged the ligament in his right knee which could put him out until late November. Meaning he will have to sit out against Spurs, Liverpool and possibly the Manchester derby depending on recovery speed.

Fortunately for City, the squad has enough depth for a suitable replacement during De Bruyne’s departure. Things will proceed as normal at the Etihad but we yet to see how much of an impact this will have on the Champions’ start.

Cardiff To Get Relegated

The last time Cardiff City featured in a Premier League fixture was in 2014 when they were beaten by Chelsea 2-1 at home. This result confirmed the inevitable relegation of Cardiff but now, four seasons on they’re back in the top flight.

They placed second in the Championship last season and earned automatic promotion. Besides from Champions, Wolves, Cardiff would have been the standout team considering they accumulated 90 points from 46 games. The question which lingers over the club, however, is that can they compete in the most prestigious league in the world. We haven’t seen enough of the new Cardiff side to make a judgement yet and if there was a weak link in this bet, it would be that Cardiff finish bottom. Then again, if history stands for anything they;’re a strong candidate for relegation.
