Were are now just over a week away from the Premier League returning and Paddy Power have End of Season specials available!
After much debate as to whether it was worth the Premier League season finishing, it has finally been given the green light. Next Wednesday, will see the first match since March 9th, as Villa host Sheffield United.
So, between the first game and the end of the season, Paddy Power has five markets available like they did for the Bundesliga. These specials only take into account results from June 17th to the end of the season. With Liverpool running away with the league, these specials make the end of the season still interesting.
Even though they are 25 points off of the leaders, Man City are the favourites to secure the most points at 4/9. City now has all their star players back and fit including Sane and Laporte. They missed these two massively during the season and they should help them a lot. When you look at their run in too, it’s not too bad. They have Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal from the ‘top 6’ sides, and you expect only Liverpool to trouble them.
Liverpool are the second favourites to get the most points, priced at 3/1. Liverpool only need to win two more games and they’ve won the league. Once this is done you wouldn’t be surprised to see Klopp rest a lot of his players for next season. This then gives a chance for more of the squad players, and maybe even academy players to get a game and try and earn a medal.
After them its Chelsea at 16/1, Man United at 18/1 and Arsenal at 25/1. All the sides are unpredictable with form and you wouldn’t expect them to finish stronger than Man City or Liverpool. On top of this, there is Europa League football potentially and they may rest players in the league for this
Three teams are at the top for this, they are Newcastle, Bournemouth and Crystal Palace at 5/1. Bournemouth are in a relegation fight at the minute so will be scrapping for every single point they can get. However, they have a very tough run-in, with games against Man United, Everton, Man City, Spur and Leicester. The Cherries could quite easily get no points from any of these games.
Newcastle, on the other hand, are 13th in the league and eight points from the drop zone. They will be confident of being in the Premier League next season. Like Bournemouth though, their run-in is tough, with three games against the ‘Big Six’. If they confirm safety early as well, then they could take their foot off a bit.
Finally is Crystal Palace at 5/1. They are 11th in the league and sit 12 points above the bottom three. In their final nine games, they have to host Chelsea, Man United and Spurs as well as go to Leicester and Liverpool. They have picked up just three points in total against them sides this season. With them looking safe as it is, will they be pushing to pick up more points against sides who will definitely need them more than them?
Norwich (13/2) and Aston Villa (7/1) could be interesting choices. They’re both in the bottom three and haven’t had the best of seasons back in the Premier League.
The three other markets available on the Premier League from now until the end of the season are:
- Top 4.
- Highest Scoring Team.
- Lowest Scoring Team.
There are some very interesting prices in these promotions and they may be worth a look at before the season gets underway on June 17th.
