It’s the Champions League but not as we know it. Instead of the tournament being drawn out over a period of months, it’s a dash to the final. So who will be in it this year?
We have four contenders left and the first game takes place tonight, Tuesday 18th August 2020. That game is between RB Leipzig and PSG. It’s no surprise that PSG are favourites to win the game across all major bookmakers and there are plenty of betting offers on the table.
Betfair is offering an Odds Boost on the match. PSG to win with both Mbappe and Neymar to score was originally at odds of 10/3.
The Betfair Odds Boost has now bumped that up to odds of 9/2.
So what does that mean in terms of real money you could win? If the bet comes off, with the original odds of 10/3 a £10 bet would net you £33.33 profit. Plus you would get your stake back.
With the Odds Boost to 9/2, your £10 bet would net you a healthy profit of £45 plus your £10 stake back.
So for those of you doing the maths, that’s an extra £11.67 in your back pocket. Of course, you have to win first.
Two Things To Note
Like all football promotions, there are a couple of things you should be aware of. In this case, a maximum bet of £20 applies to the Odds Boost.
Cash Out is NOT available. That means once the bet is on, it’s on. If it comes to dying minutes and Mbappe and Neymar have both scored and PSG are in the lead you cannot cash out. You’re just going to have to sweat it out until the game is over.
Is This A Good bet?
It’s one thing for Betfair to offer an Odds Boost, but is it even a good bet? PSG are clear favourites in this game. With a strong back four and some greedy strikers, this team can defend and shoot on target all night. Eventually one or two of the goals will go in.
Will those goals come from Mbappe and Neymar? Mbappe is the back-to-back winner of the French League’s Golden Boot. He hit the back of the net 18 times in the 2019/20 season and has an outstanding goals-to-game ratio.
Neymar Jnr is a prolific goalscorer and played a key role in PSG’s two late goals as they claimed a dramatic win over Atalanta. Despite being injured during the season he even managed 13 Ligue 1 goals in just 15 appearances.
So with both of these guys in top form, there is every chance they will both be sliding along the pitch in celebration tonight.
So if you fancy taking on this bet, just head to Betfair now and you take your chances.
