Manchester United have been awarded a manager and player of the month award double for the first time in eight years.
January was a brilliant month for the Red Devils that saw them take 10 points from a possible 12. Such results were down to the incredible start that interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has had. This saw him pick up the manager of the month award whist Marcus Rashford took the player of the month award. The young striker has had a turn of form under the new manager and chipped in with 3 goals over January. The number 10 has trebled his Premier League tally since the introduction of Solskjaer in December.
This is the first time that the club has been given both awards since January 2011. Sir Alex Ferguson and Dimitar Berbatov were the recipients of the award for that month. In that month Man United won four out of five games taking a total of 13 points for the month. Uniteds player of the month for January 2011 scored five goals which included a hat-trick against Birmingham.
Since the arrival of the Norwegian the change in Man United has been quite incredible. The club now find them selves in Champions League places after being 11 points behind when Solskjaer arrived. The goal difference of the Red Devils has also dramatically changed, it is now +17 when it was zero upon the arrival of the new manager . All this has happened within the space of eight games in the league

A Change In Form Means A Change In Odds
Now Man Uniteds season has had a dramatic change it seems as if the odds on the next manager have too. PaddyPower now have the Norwegian as the favourite to be in charge come the first day of the 2019/20 season. OGS is at 1/4 whereas Pochettino, who seems to be the United legends biggest competition, is at 4/1. However as PaddyPower have shown, a change in result changes the odds massively so Pochettino could be a good bet at 4/1 just incase results start going the other way for The Red Devils.
