Euro 2020 Top Goalscorer Odds
The European Championships are well underway, with some of the best strikers in the world present, but who will come out top goalscorer?
Finishing top goalscorer is the aim of every striker in every competition they play in. Naturally, strikers are very selfish players and would love to have one over on other players.
At the last Euro’s, Frances Antoine Griezmann came out on top with six goals, just as Harry Kane did at the 2018 World Cup. Sometimes though it’s not always the best player who will come out on top or the one you expect. As long as your team stays in the competition for long enough, you’ve got more chance than most!
To make it even more exciting, Paddy Power are offering a £1 free bet, every time your selection has a shot on target at this summer’s Euros*. Obviously, to make the most of this, you want to back someone who is likely to stay in the competition for as long as possible. Picking a player from one of the favorites is your best bet, and we’ve taken a look at a few below.
Euro 2020 Top Goalscorer Odds
Cristiano Ronaldo and Patrick Schick – 7/4 (5 goals)
Both men are leading the way as the top goalscorers in the competition but are no longer still in Euro 2020. With a two-goal cushion, the odds could drop after the semi-finals if certain players drop out of the competition. Given that it would take any of the remaining players left to double their tally from five games in just two, these two can feel quite safe!
Harry Kane – 7/2 (3 goals)
After a very quiet start to Euro 2020, Harry Kane is now finally starting to find the back of the net. He scored once against Germany and then two more against Ukraine in the last game. England are now getting the best out of him and he seems to be staying further up the pitch, allowing the rest of the team to get the ball to him.
Up next for Kane, is Denmark and with three in his last two, he is going to be full of confidence. England are expecting to get to the final which would then give Kane two more games to catch up to Ronaldo and Schick. If he scores in the semi’s and gets to the final, we would fancy him to get another and at least finish joint top scorer.
Raheem Sterling – 12/1 (3 goals)
The Man City winger was England’s main man in the group stages and had it not been for his goals they wouldn’t be near the semi-finals! Sterling has shown now for both club and country that he has a knack for showing up in the right place at the right time. He has now become undroppable in the starting eleven.
Sterling creates his own chances as well as getting on the end of them. All three of his goals have been at Wembley and with one maybe two more games for him to play there, could he make a late run for the Golden Boot.
