This weekend is the much-awaited rematch between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury for the lineal heavyweight titles in Las Vegas!
After what was one of the most entertaining fights in recent heavyweight history the two men are going again on Saturday night. Their first fight was back in December 2018 in Los Angeles. Fury went into the fight the underdog after having only just come back from a three-year break.
The British heavyweight’s break came after a tough period with drink and drug issues. His comeback was widely documented after he was forced to relinquish the heavyweight titles he won from Wladimir Klitschko. The fight was highly entertaining with the 12th being the pick of the rounds. Fury was knocked down and looked out for the count but somehow manage to get up on his feet, a scene that looked like something from a Rocky movie. The fight finished as a draw with many feeling Fury was robbed.
Fury has recently confirmed that an agreement has been put in place for a third fight. The fight is taking place at 5:00 am Sunday morning UK time. This is being billed as the fight of the century and to make it even more exciting, Paddy Power has a selection of Power Prices available.
Tyson Fury to win by KO/TKO – 11/2
Fury has 29 wins in his career and 20 of these have come from KO/TKO. The last time he won via knockout was against Tom Schwarz in 2019. This shows that Fury has experience of winning via this method and has even predicted it himself that’ll he win in the second round.
However, the last time the fight went 12 rounds and Wilder, like Fury, has never been beaten. Fury’s biggest win to date is against Vladimir Klitschko where he won by unanimous decision. This leaves question marks as to whether he can do it Saturday.
Deontay Wilder to win in Rounds 1-3 – 12/1
The Bronze Bomber has won 42 fights and 30 of them come in rounds 1-3. His punching power is the best in the business and it’s rare many make it out of the third round. Wilder has knocked down Fury before so knows he can win in the early rounds but it’s going to be tough. At 12/1 it would be a good bet due to Wilders record.
Deontay Wilder to win by Points or Decision – 14/1
Fury is adamant this won’t happen due to the fight being in Vegas. However, if a repeat of last time happens and Wilder dominates large parts of the fight as well as getting a knockdown, surely it won’t end a draw again. Wilder has only won by decision once in his career and that was against Bermane Stiverne.
Tyson Fury to win in Rounds 9-12 – 16/1
Only twice has Fury won in the later rounds but at 16/1 this is a very interesting bet. The fight is likely to go the distance as these two men won’t give up easily and have shown before they can. Fury will still be there towards the end and will back himself for a knockout at any time in the fight.
Paddy Power has many other markets available of this heavyweight clash, such as Method of Victory, Group Round Betting and many more. AS fight night approaches be sure to keep a lookout for any more Power Prices that there might be!
