Cheltenham 2020 was only last month, but Paddy Power have odds available for punters for next years festival already!

The Cheltenham Festival is the biggest racing festival in the world. The four-day festival sees the best jockeys and trainers in from Britain and Ireland battling it out over 28 races.

On the last day of the festival is the Cheltenham Gold Cup. This is one of the biggest races of the year and Paddy Power are already offerings prices on next years winners.

These odds are ante-post, meaning they are done before the day are the event and the horses have been declared. With ante-post bets come better odds but the risk that if the horse doesn’t run, you won’t be refunded your stake.

Gold Cup 2021 Odds (Ante-post)

Naturally the favourite for next years Gold Cup is this years winner, Al Boum Photo at 5/1. They went off as the favourite at 100/30 this year. Champ looks an interesting option at 12/1. He won the RSA Novices in some style this year, coming from nowhere in final two furlongs to win by a length at 4/1.

Minella Indo, who was just beaten by Champ is 14/1 on the ante-post odds. An interesting outsider is Easysland. He beat Tiger Roll by 17 lengths in the Glenfarclas and is at 33/1 for next years Gold Cup. You would expect Easysland to go back to the Glenfarclas but at 33/1, it’s an interesting ante-post bet.

Ryanair Chase 2021 Odds (Ante-post)

The 2020 Ryanair Chase winner was Min at 2/1. Min is priced at 10/1 currently to win the race next year with Samcro also at 10/1. Min will be 10 next year and no 10 year old has won the Ryanair Chase since Albertas Run, in 2010. Albertas Run was also the last and only horse to defend their Ryanair Chase crown.

The great Altior is priced at 16/1 for this race. He didn’t race this year due to injury but is unbeaten in four races at the festival, winning the Champion Chase most recently.

Champion Chase 2021 Odds (Ante-post)

This 2021 winner of this race was Politologue, who would have been delighted that Altior wasn’t there to go for three in a row. Politologue won at 6/1. The current favourite with Paddy Power is Epatante who won the 2020 Champion Hurdle. Epatante is priced at 4/1, which would suggest there’s a good chance of him being entered in this race.

Goshen is a close second at 5/1. Goshen was a 5/2 favourite going into the Triumph Hurdle but unseated Jamie Hoore on the final furlong as they were well out in the lead. They showed just how good a horse Goshen is and that it was one unfortunate mistake that cost them.

Stayers Hurdle 2021 Odds (Ante-post)

Lisnagar Oscar won the 2020 Stayers Hurdle, beating Ronald Pump at 50/1! They are priced at 14/1 to repeat the famous victory in 2021. Paisley Park is the current favourite at 7/1. They were the 4/6 favourite for the race in 2020 but came seventh. Paisley Park won the race in 2019 and will be hoping to regain the title.

Benie Des Dieux is priced at 8/1 after coming second in the Mares Hurdle by half a length.

Paddy Power has odds on 16 out of the 28 races at the 2021 festival. You can get them all on their website now.
