The Bundesliga has officially returned this weekend and to celebrate, Paddy Power has a host of specials for now until the end of the season!
With only The Bundesliga playing at the moment, it can be quite hard to find a decent bet. In Germany, Bayern dominates and are currently four points clear. The outright betting is heavily favoured in their way.
To make the remainder of the season that bit more interesting, Paddy Power has opened up five new markets. These are running from now, until June 27th. The markets are ignoring all the previous statistics and starting afresh from May 16th, which is when it returned. So only anything that happens from game week, 26-34 counts.
Bayern are the favourite to score the most goals between now and the end of the season at 8/11. They scored two on the weekend against Union Berlin and have 75 goals for the season, which is more than any other side. This shows they are constantly banging them in and should add a lot more to their two already.
Behind them at 5/2 is Dortmund. They are currently winning this competition, having scored four goals on Saturday. For the season they have 72, which shows they are as dangerous in front of goal as Bayern. On top of this, they haven’t had Haaland all season, who can’t stop scoring. Now he is at the club, at 5/2 this could be a great bet.
Leipzig are at 5/1 and started off disappointingly. They scored just one in a 1-1 draw on Saturday, but do have Timo Werner in their side. The German striker has 21 for the season and will be hoping to add many more.
The league’s overall top scorer is the favourite to score the most in the next eight-game weeks at EVS. Lewandowski scored a penalty on Saturday. The Polish striker is a constant threat in front of goal and you would expect him to add a few more to his tally before the season is out.
Haaland is at 15/8 and this is definitely one to have a look at! He scored Dortmund’s first goal on Saturday and could have had a couple more. Since joining he already has 10 goals and averages one every 60 minutes. Compare this to Lewandowski who is one every 82 minutes. His shot on target percentage is also higher than anyone above him in the top scorer table.
Werner is another one who is in with a great chance. He is priced at 6/1, but didn’t score this weekend. He has 21 for the season and is only second to Lewandowski. Werner has shown he can keep pace, and Leipzig will need him at his best if they want any chance of closing the seven-point gap on Bayern.
Again this is another market dominated by Bayern, Dortmund and Leipzig. Obviously the league leaders Bayern are the favourites at 4/7. They are in great form in the league, having only dropped two points in 2020! They do, however, have a few tough games to play against Leipzig, Gladbach and Leverkusen. On top of this, they are in the Champions League, this could result in resting players in the Bundesliga games.
Dortmund are second at 10/3. With the other two sides having to play each other, this could be a great bet. They have dropped just three points in 2020, showing like Bayern, they are in good form. They do have to play Leipzig though late on in the season, which will be tough.
Finally is Leipzig at 7/1. Having to play both Dortmund and Bayern are going to be big asks, but if they can beat one of them then it could well be on. At 7/1, they could be worth an outside bet.
The two other markets available are Least Points and To Go Unbeaten. On top of that, there are also many more options in each of the markets that we have spoken about. Be sure to check them out, as with each game week the odds will change!
